The Western Montana Fair in Missoula is one of the biggest events of the summer: last year, over 110,000 people attended! While the food and activities often take centerstage, the Fair has done an amazing job when it comes to sustainability.
On July 16, join us at our monthly Lunch & Learn to hear about how the Western Montana Fair has made a name for themselves as a leader in Missoula’s zero waste events! Last year, the Fair diverted a whooping 58,830 lbs from the landfill thanks to Green Team efforts; this translates to an 82% diversion rate! This year they’re aiming to have a 90% diversion rate! This Lunch & Learn will have folks from the Fairgrounds and Home ReSource to chat all about our past, present, and future efforts!
Home ReSource hosts free Lunch & Learns on the third Wednesday of each month to explore different zero-waste topics with our community. A simple meal is provided for those who RSVP.
