Youth Intern – Woodshop and Sustainability Trades
Home ReSource’s Youth Internship Program (YIP) is for high school-aged people seeking job experience as it relates to sustainability or trades. This position has three key components: develop and utilize woodshop skills for building products out of reclaimed materials for sale; support the day-to-day operations of the store; and engage in education opportunities with our community partners. Utilizing the woodshop, we’ll construct thinks like bird houses, bee boxes, cribbage boards, and more out of reclaimed or sustainably sourced materials to sell in our store or at events. Youth Interns will also be working in our yard, accepting and processing donations, providing customer service, and assisting with department clean ups. Finally, you will meet with other sustainability oriented organizations to learn about their programs. View the full job description here>>
