August Lunch & Learn: The Youth Internship Program

Every spring, summer, and fall season, Home ReSource brings in a new cohort of “YIPpers.” This is the name we have fondly given to our high school-aged interns, who become part of the Youth Internship Program, or YIP for short. YIP is an employment program that aims to engage our interns in building retail and reuse job skills, better understand the inner workings of a nonprofit, and gain awareness of efforts to create a sustainable community. During the summer months, we work with All Nations to bring in Native interns.
On August 20, join us at our monthly Lunch & Learn to learn all about our YIP program and meet our summer cohort! They’ll talk about the projects they’ve been working on and some of the highlights of the program.
Home ReSource hosts free Lunch & Learns on the third Wednesday of each month to explore different zero-waste topics with our community. A simple meal is provided for those who RSVP.
