Side Table with Drawer
October 22 @ 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
$750
The clean lines, square legs, and half-lap drawer construction of this table draw from both Shaker and mid-century modern influences, allowing it to work well with many décors. The completed table stands 26″ high with a 20″ square top, with room for modifications based on your preferences and available space.
You will learn proper furniture design principles and proportions, modern and traditional construction techniques, and joinery options. Train on and use essential woodshop tools, including the domino joiner, table saw, miter saw, planer, and jointer.
The course will also cover drawer construction and assembly, including building a drawer box, hand making drawer handles, and selecting and installing hardware. There will be ample time to discuss techniques and explore options, with a focus on building the skills necessary to design and construct your own furniture pieces.
As a final step, apply an elegant, durable finish. You’ll walk away with a beautiful handcrafted table that will be a treasured piece in your home for years to come.
