This holiday season, Home ReSource is asking for one special gift: help us Own Our Home for the holidays. As a long-standing Missoula non-profit, we are working to retire our mortgage before our interest rate adjusts in February – so we can put every dollar into community programs rather than interest payments.

Home ReSource leads Missoula’s effort to shift from a take, make, waste system to one that keeps materials in use and protects our shared environment. Retiring our mortgage will free up over $10,000 each month that can be reinvested directly into growing the Home ReSource programs Missoulians count on.

Here is what your support has helped make possible this year:

• The Home ReSource ReUse Store kept more than one million pounds of usable materials out of the Missoula landfill.
• The Home ReSource Green Team diverted over eighty-five thousand pounds of waste at community events, helping shrink Missoula’s footprint.
• We created twenty-six low-barrier green jobs for neighbors facing barriers to stable, living-wage employment.
• ZAP! brought hands-on Zero Waste education to more than nine hundred fifth graders across Missoula.
• We empowered 25 teens exploring the trades with paid internships that help build a skilled, green workforce.
• Our Household Chemical Disposal facility kept more than ten thousand gallons of hazardous material out of our watershed.
