This year’s theme is “Gardens of the Garden City”, celebrating Missoula’s horticultural past, present, and future.

WHY PHLOX FEST
Rocky Mountain Gardens logo is adorned with the Missoula Phlox (Phlox missoulensis), a species of concern that has only been found within Missoula County. We chose this unassuming flower for its special link to Missoula, and as a reminder of the importance of native plant conservation.

Missoula Phlox typically flowers from mid-April till June. You can visit several of these plants in the Montana Crevice Garden where they will be blooming for the festivities!
