COP25, the 25th annual international UN climate negotiations, started this week in Madrid, Spain. During the next 2 weeks, world leaders will work to increase climate action commitments at a time when the science community has made it abundantly clear that we can no longer delay climate action to avert a future climate mess.
Article 6 of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change seeks to reduce the impact of climate change by enabling society to be a part of the solution — recognizing that through education and training “people become more aware of their role as consumers and are empowered to make…informed decisions.”
ZWAP!, our Zero Waste Ambassadors Program for fifth graders, and our Fixit Clinics are tangible ways we are engaging our community in helping to address the climate crisis. Please join us and our partners (and coaches!) tomorrow at the Fixit Clinic and be “a part of the solution” (more info below).
