| ReUzIt Project! Jamie Lennox’s Step-Up Closet!
Jamie Lennox shared with us this wonderful project that combines a step stool with storage! Good thinkin’ Jamie!
Here’s what Jamie had to say about it:
I thought I would forward these photos of the “step-up” closet I constructed from salvaged douglas fir purchased from Home Resource. It took a lot of nail pulling and a few nails got away when they nicked up the planer and jointer knifes, but the end result turned out well.
This was my closet, but now a little baby boy is on the way, hence the adjustable shelves are full of baby books and other items for tykes. I will have to build yet another closet to find a home for my things. I guess I will have to make another visit to your fine establishment.
The two steps each contain two drawers for stashing endless supplies of biodegradable and cloth diapers. My somewhat vertically challenged wife can easily step up and reach the top shelf stretching the entire length of the closet. There are also two cubbies on the left side of the closet hanging over top of the shower plumbing access. Right now there are to tiers of closet rods, but I think I may modify those areas to include shoe shelves below… it is always nice to have a place for your foot attire other than the floor.
Thank you Home Resource for your valuable service in Missoula. Respectfully,
Jamie Lennox
